Welcome to Be More HOWIE.

Helping people navigate the heartbreak of losing a beloved pet by celebrating the love they leave behind.

A woman with light-colored hair in a ponytail is sitting on a bench, hugging a fluffy puppy. The puppy's head is resting against her chest, and she is gently pressing it with her face. There is a large potted plant with broad leaves behind them. The setting appears to be indoors, possibly in a store or a café, with shelves and signs visible in the background.
Pet Memorial Community

Welcome,
I’m Laura.

Let me tell you about Howie…

Howie wasn't famous.

He didn't change the world.

But he changed mine.  He was only 5 months old when my mum died suddenly, and he kept me going during the hardest time of my life.

He taught me that joy can be found in the darkest moments, that love is unconditional, and that every day is worth greeting with enthusiasm.

Howie was diagnosed with lymphoma at 14 months,  and died just 3 months later.

Losing him broke my heart.

This page exists because I know I'm not the only one who has loved a pet that deeply.

If you've found your way here, I'm so sorry for your loss. I want you to know that You're not alone in your grief.

My hope is that together we can honour the pet who shaped us by trying, every day, to be a little more HOWIE.
